Straight From the Heart was born from a deeply personal journey of loss, resilience, and hope.
Like so many families, we have experienced the pain that addiction brings. We know what it feels like to watch relationships break down, to lose trust, to grieve, and to wonder if healing is even possible.
Our founder's life has been shaped by challenges that many families understand all too well -- including overcoming addiction, navigating an abusive relationship, raising children as a single mother, and coping with the hearbreaking loss of her own mother. Through those experiences came a powerful realization: recovery is stronger when families heal together.
Too often, services focus only on the individual struggling with addiction. While that support is essential, family memers are also carrying pain, fear, confusion, and hope. Parents, children, spouses, grandparents, and siblings all deserve a place where they can find encouragement, education, and connection.
That belief became the foundaton of Straight From the Heart.
Our Mission
Straight From The Heart exists to strengthen individuals and families affected by substance use disorder by providing peer support, recovery education, family reunification services, mentoring, community outreach, and access to resources that promote long-term recovery, healthy relationships, and self-sufficiency.
